The LADD Vision
It is the year 2009 -- and Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD) has grown substantially in the past 10 years -- in its value to clients and their families -- and to the community at large. Its Mission has stood the test of time and reflects the focus of the organization, and its Statement of Values guides all decisions.
LADD is a highly professional and caring organization that employs the most qualified people in the field. LADD offers people with developmental disabilities the opportunities to learn key skills and provides resource information so that they may live in the community. The enrollment criteria and procedure for each service is clearly defined and efficient. There is a minimal waiting period to receive the supports offered by LADD.
The staff, administration and people supported reflect the community in its diversity. LADD is a leader in providing services and collaborating with families. The agency provides high quality direct services, acts as a resource and connects people with other services they may need. LADD enables people to participate in a broad segment of the community and in a broad array of living arrangements.
LADD provides state of the art training and is an educational resource for those pursuing a career in the administration or teaching of people with developmental disabilities. It is on the leading edge of new ideas, implementing the most current methodology in the field, and consequently professionals desire to work at and with people who are a part of LADD. Professionals do not hesitate to recommend LADD to those they believe will benefit from the supports the agency offers. Administrative and staff positions are highly sought after by those in the field.
LADD is financially responsible and fiscally strong and able to acquire funding for program research, as well as for program implementation. It is a model organization that makes a major contribution to people with developmental disabilities, their families and makes a positive impact on the perception and beliefs of the community.
